Recreation Specialist - Facility Reservations (Part-Time)

Immediate opening exists at the Diamond Bar Center supporting Facility Reservations. The City of Diamond Bar Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a highly energetic customer service oriented individual to join its team on a part-time basis. Regular weekly schedule will include: Monday & Tuesday 7:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. and Saturday or Sunday 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Actual work hours and schedule vary according to program and participant needs; and will include weekend and evening assignments.  This position is classified as at-will intermittent/part-time with no benefits provided.  Intermittent part-time positions average 19 hours per week and no more than 1000 hours in a twelve (12) month period.This recruitment will also establish an eligibility list for future vacancies at the Diamond Bar Center or City Hall based on level of related experience job knowledge and interview performance.

SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD PART-TIME

Payroll Account Clerk - PTS

The Administrative Services department is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual for a PTS Payroll Clerk position in the City’s Finance division. Under the direction of a Financial or Senior Financial Analyst this position performs a variety of clerical technical and accounting functions relating to payroll. This position may work approximately 20-40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The duration of this assignment will be approximately three to six months but may end earlier or be extended depending on needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Performs a variety of clerical technical and paraprofessional accounting duties which will include payroll and general administrative duties; provides customer service in person and by telephone •Assists in the processing of the City’s biweekly payroll monthly Council payroll and special payrolls as directed and scheduled •Assists in the collection of biweekly time cards; reviews and interprets employee timesheets for accuracy and makes timecard adjustments as needed •Assists in the calculations of pay for a number of special conditions such as leaves of absence (LOA) standby pay uniform allowance holiday FLSA overtime etc. •Maintains Citywide employee database; inputs data to payroll system •Assists in the preparation of payroll related journal entries •Responds to both internal and external payroll-related requests for information •Assist in the implementation of the City’s new financial and timecard systems •Provides additional support in performing other accounting related duties as needed

Ambulance Operators who are assigned to peak staffing will work a 40-hour work week.  This position requires availability to work irregular hours or shifts weekends holidays or overtime as assigned.Term of EmploymentThe length of employment for Ambulance Operator is limited to a time period not to exceed twelve (12) months. The Fire Chief is authorized to extend the 12-month period up to four times for a maximum total service time of five (5) years in the Ambulance Operator position.
