Eligibility Information
Eligible partners:
-
a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) the disadvantaged individual(s) must be a U.S. citizen (or resident alien) and be a member of a socially and economically disadvantaged group. A for-profit small business where socially and economically disadvantaged DBE owner(s) own at least a 51% interest, and have managerial and operational control of the business operations; the firm must not be tied to another firm in such a way as to compromise its independence and control.

an organization that is described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and that is exempt from tax under section 501(a) of such Code.
Required documentation:

California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) or signed certification

Evidence of the tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status (e.g., IRS tax-exempt determination letter)

a Letter of Commitment that clearly states the scope of work to be undertaken by the partner and its relevance to strengthen Digital Equity.
