CALIFORNIA PROMISE
The California Promise is a guarantee from the California State University system that a new student can earn a degree in no more than two years (for Associate Degree for Transfer Students), or no more than four years (for new First-Time First-year Students), if a new student pledges to, and follows specific campus requirements. Students who elect to participate in California Promise receive special academic advisement and improved priority registration.
Supports freshmen that are on track to completing 30 academic units prior to beginning their sophomore year. Students who choose the California Promise Finish in Four Scholars Program will be offered the courses they need to complete their bachelor’s degrees in four academic years. From the time they step onto the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) campus until their graduation they will participate in relevant and meaningful academic experiences, leadership and professional development opportunities.
Supports transfer students who have earned an Associate's Degree for transfer from a California Community College and have a minimum transfer GPA of a 2.3. Students who choose the California Promise Thru in Two Scholars Program will be offered the courses they need to complete their bachelor’s degrees in two academic years. From the time they step onto the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) campus until their graduation they will participate in relevant and meaningful academic experiences, leadership and professional development opportunities.
